Just wanted to say hello and that I miss you all.
My Mother is in the final stages of cancer. Part of me just wants to dive right into my blog and design, as an outlet and get away. But I just can't muster up the motivation or creativity you all deserve.
I will be back - please don't give up on me. Just need to be with her and focus on her needs. Afterall, she dedicated her life to focusing on mine.

I held my mother's hand when she took her last breath and will never regret taking the time to be with her in her last days...it is a difficult time, but you will not have any regrets if you follow your heart. I am so sorry.... that is why my head has been buried in the sand..(along with other reasons as well) My father was dx 2 1/2 weeks ago with GBM brain tumor. The most aggressive and worst prognosis... I am still in shock. And being so far away does not help. Please if there is anything I can do... do not hesitate. My heart and my prayers to you and yours.

Funny, I just came across your blog today, yesterday was 10 months to the day that I lost my mom. I am a designer and I know exactly what you are saying.I have felt blocked since I lost her.. That is until I took a much needed vacation to the beach, I had nothing.. No ideas no inspiration, now most of my designs have been inspired by the beach, and my vacation.. My mom was a huge part of my world. I adored her and miss her terribly. I stopped working for a year my husband and I moved in with her to care for her. (she wanted to stay at her home, so we left ours) I can honestly tell you.... I have never regretted it for one minute,in fact I treasure every day I had with her that I would not have had if I had not moved in. She still had a lot to teach me. She showed my how to care for her, from changing her bed sheets with her still in bed to how to touch her without hurting her. What you have right now is a blessing. My brothers and sister have to live with the fact they were not here for the months taking her to the Dr apts and helping her deal with the bad news as it came in. They live too far away to have been here and the ones closer by chose not to.. Spend every moment you get with her.. I was with her all the time and still wish I had spent more.. Asked more questions.. I wish I would have had her tell me more about her childhood and her life.. She was private and only started opening up at the end. I know exactly what you are going through right now, as it still feels like yesterday that I lost her.. If you ever need someone to talk to who truly understands please write..
