This was one of my white rooms. I painted the walls a light gray fog color. The contrast with the bright white trim and furnishings was fabulous (if I do say so myself). It was very relaxing. And shouldn't all of our rooms? Our home is our safe place. Our getaway, everyday.
I wish I had a picture of my winter white style. You would see what I mean about texture. I'll share a photo this year - I promise!
Atlanta Bartlett has published some great books on white interiors, including one of my favorites, At Home with White.

Here are some of my favorite white interior spaces.

Elle Decor
Actress Meg Ryans renovated farm house in Martha's Vineyard.

The Guest Room
The home of the Williams Sonoma designer was featured in Elle Decor. I love some of the ways she accessories.

And the blog gods rewarded us with Dreamy Whites. Here are some of my favorites inspirations.
I can't decide which I love more in this living room from Architectural Digest - the ocean view or the all white.

Have a great weekend and I hope you find your weekend includes a little re-decorating, maybe with some white.

I love when all white spaces add color with nature, like the water background or with palm plants. Always so nice to stop by and catch your coastal view.
I'm with you....the WHITES have it!

Hi! This is really breathtaking. Living in a beach home is really relaxing, luxurious and stress-free. How I wish I could take a chance to live in a beach home someday. Anyway, I am glad to stop by your site and know more about beach homes. Keep it up! This is a good read. You have such an interesting and informative page. I will be looking forward to visit your page again and for your other posts as well. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about beach homes in your area. Wow!
Beach houses are often associated with beach gardens with a special planting and a particular type of leisure use. One of the most famous twentieth century beach gardens was constructed by Derek Jarman at Dungeness, England. It celebrated local materials, native plants and the openness of the site. Other beach gardens have tried to create an isolated microclimate. Swimming pools are popular in beach gardens. American architect Andrew Geller designed sculptural beach houses in the coastal regions of New England during the 1950s and 60s.
